I'm officially taking donations so that I can go see Prince at The Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, part of the Thompson family of hotels. I've stayed at 60 Thompson in New York City... very nice hotel. I'm guessing they will outdo themselves in Hollyweird - add Prince. Here is some info from the press release:
Pop music icon Prince will be taking up residency and bringing "3121" exclusively to Thompson Hotels' Hollywood Roosevelt this summer, presented by Verizon Wireless. For possibly the last time in Los Angeles, the royal purple carpet will be rolled out for his Hollywood homecoming and the artist has chosen the legendary hotel for seven exclusive, intimate performances commencing Saturday, June 23rd, 2007.
Now, this will by no means be cheap.VIP packages, including dinner at the Dakota (tax, alcohol, and gratuity excluded), will be limited to 130 seats, sold in pairs for $3121.00. An additional 70, standing room only tickets will be made available for $312.10 each.
OK, Prince. LA. No money. How am I to pull this one off?
