My feet, damn my feet!

K-Shell thought it a good idea to gift me with a new pair of shoes. Me being the cheap / poor bastard that I am, was more than happy to oblige. Since the Danskos crapped out, I’ve had back and leg pain all of the time. How could I possibly be chef / line cook / kitchen manager (depends who you talk to) with weak legs?
So, I figured why not get some comfy shoes for the kitchen, the Crocks it is! Up until this past weekend I was president, CEO even of the I Hate Crocks club. Those things are so ugly!
Well, I threw on a pair at the shoe store on 125th street and let me tell you, they are soooo comfy. And since they are truly ugly and orange is my favorite color, why not get the ugliest shoe I can. Oh, I did. Just look how ugly they are. K-Shell has assured me that she will never be seen in public with me if I have those shoes on. Can you blame her?
But the comfort. It feels like I’m wearing slippers. Please don’t hate me for switching to the I love Crocks team, just think of it as an opportunity for the people I feed to enjoy their food even more since I have stopped whining about my bad back.
